A Day in the Life

Emerging photographer Steve Kroeger and I embarked on a journey to capture Mesa Arch near Moab, Utah at dawn.  After the shoot we were joined by Rick Louie and local police official/cousin, Steve Ross at breakfast at The Love Muffin in Moab which I recommend.  At this point we decided to head south to shoot Newspaper Rock.  Rick was telling us that there was a big heard of Desert Bighorns near Green River and they were in the rutting season.  That’s where Steve and I headed next.  Here are a few of the photos from the trip:

The Site is Live!

About 6 months ago, I bought the domain name www.grandriverphoto.net and a photocrati WordPress theme.  Then I proceeded to do absolutely nothing with them until this week for two reasons.  One, I’m busy.  Busy putting stock photos up to iStockphoto so my portfolio will be big enough to support all the things I want to do like travel the world, buy cool gear and not live under a bridge.  Two, I really hate anything to do with web design and proved long ago that I’m not very good at it.  All that considered, I did what anyone with any sense at all does in this situation.  I called Caleb Nichols.  Caleb is a twenty something guy I’ve known for some time who lives now in Florida and is working toward his degree in TechnoWizardry.  He was born with 20 years experience in all things computer.  Anyway, the site looks OK I think even though some tweeks and additions are in order in the not to distant future.  The idea here is to create a very simple to navigate site where the photography is the star not all those ridiculous Flash bells and whistles.  You should be able to browse the images at your speed and should point would be buyers to www.istockphoto.com/grandriver.  And it will never auto play MUSIC.  That drives me absolutely nuts.
